Coach Eric Adeyemo
Founder & CEO

Coach Eric Adeyemo is a Nigerian-born athlete who graduated from Central State University in Ohio with a degree in Biology. He had a distinguished athletic career, representing Ivory Coast in four Olympic Seasons from 1996 to 2008 as a member of the country’s Track and Field National Team. Currently, Coach Adeyemo serves as the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Track & Field at Columbia College in South Carolina, and is also the leader of the Afro City Marathon Initiative.

Lanre is a Chartered Accountant with varied and deep insights in Financial Services, Global Trade & Investment, Environment, Energy Sustainability & Community Development. He is a Thought – Leader in Finance & Fiscal Policy.
He is also a Social Commentator, a Public Policy Analyst and Advocate of Good Governance, Just, Equitable & Egalitarian Society. Lanre’s portfolio of passions transcend his professional practice, it encompasses Wellness, Social Safety Net, Education Access and Sports.

Clement is the Principal Consultant at Honestas Global Services.
The organization is into Business / ICT Consulting, focused on Technology Advisory Services, Business Consulting and PPP Projects. He is a Swimming instructor, Teenagers / Youth Career and Relationship Coach.

Baruwa Mohammed Issa is a seasoned professional with a strong background in architecture and procurement. As an architect, he has accumulated extensive experience in designing and managing various projects. In addition to his architectural expertise, he is also well-versed in procurement, having worked on numerous projects that require strategic sourcing and contract management. Currently, he serves as the Director of Government and Community Relations at the Afro City Marathon Initiative, where he plays a crucial role in fostering partnerships and contributing to community development through sports.

Saheed is a financial advisor for 10 years whose effective designed strategies and excellent money management advice have helped clients from all walks of life. His works to help people reach their financial goals with his knowledge when it comes to financial planning and other financial terms.

Ronke is a dedicated System Administrator, she is committed to ensuring the seamless operation of IT infrastructure. With about six (6) years of experience, she specializes in server administration. Her focus is on optimizing system performance, security, and reliability. Beyond her technical role, she is also passionate about promoting health and fitness. As the Secretary of the City Marathon Committee, she contributed to the organization and execution of this annual event. She is dedicated to fostering a vibrant Marathon community and ensuring a successful race for all participants.

David is a Realtor, with a vast experience in Marketing for over 5 years with Adron Homes and Properties. He is dedicated to helping clients to get affordable housing that meets their needs and Budget.

Tunde is a renowned athlete and coach with a strong background in track and field. Born in Kano and hailing from Ọffa, Kwara State, he has achieved numerous accolades, including becoming a National Champion in Long jump from 1996 to 2008. He represented Nigeria in several international competitions, including the Long jump and 4x100m events. As a certified World Athletics Grade 1 coach, Tunde has transitioned to coaching and has played a pivotal role in organizing various marathons and road races in Nigeria, including the Okpekpe 10km, Lagos/Access Bank Marathon, and Ilesha 10km road race.

Advisory Board

Chief Tony Osheku is a renowned Track & Field Coach and administrator of international repute. His impressive coaching career includes stints as coach at the Commonwealth Games Birmingham 2022, coach/manager to Olympic Silver medalist Chief Mrs. Falilat Ogunkoya, and Head Coach of the Libya Athletics Team. Chief Osheku has also been part of the national coaching crew to several major international competitions, including the Atlanta and Sydney Olympics, and seven World Championships. Currently, he serves as the Head Coach of Osheku Athletics Academy, where he grooms future champions to represent Nigeria.

Livinus is a highly experienced World Athletics Technical Official with over three decades of experience in athletics officiating. He is a seasoned meet organizer and sports consultant, having served in various capacities, including Competition Secretary at the African Athletics Championship in Asaba 2018 and Referee at the Lagos Access Bank Marathon since 2016. Osaze has also played key roles in organizing several major road races in Nigeria, including the Coal City Kids Marathon and the Ijesa Grand Marathon. He is a member of several prestigious associations, including AIMS and NAATO.

Idowu was born in Osogbo in Osun State. He attended the prestigious St Charles’ Grammar School, Osogbo, and Ilesa Grammar School, where he did his WASCE and HSC respectively.
In search of more knowledge, he proceeded to the Premier University of Ibadan, where he did his first and second degrees and graduated in 1985 and 1989, in Physical & Health Education and MSc. in Archival & Information Science respectively.
Professionally, a qualified Librarian with many years of experience in further education, but he is also a man of many parts. He has a stint in marketing, Facilities Management as well as Logistics.
He is happily married with children and lives in the UK. In his spare time, he plays chess, watches football, and loves reading. He also likes keeping fit as part of his hobbies.
